Trying to design an entity, looming, ancient, and decayed, forcefully ripped away from eternal slumber.
I’m not sure if I caught the exact vibe I was trying to achieve; for me it always feels difficult designing a beast that genuinely unnerves me in the way I want, or feeling as though I fell into justing making another ‘generic scary concept art monster’, but with a few more passes and reflecting further on why things like Lyuba set off that not-quiet-horror-but-boy-I-feel-a-little-uneasied feeling [mummified mammoth at that link by the way], or how some plants today still make fruit for long gone, massive beasts that used to tread were we tread now sets off a weird, haunted melancholy, I could get somewhere.
